There will always be conspiracy theorists that think CCP are working against them (or for a single Alliance), or doomsayers heralding the end of Eve as we know it. If any of those types are reading, here are a couple of sites to go and read, as you already probably think I'm working for the establishment or the CSM is doomed to fail.

Conspiracy theorists: http://conspiracy.top-site-list.com/

Doomsayers: http://www.endisnigh.co.uk/

Otherwise, read on...

I think the CSM has a part to play in encouraging communication with CCP. By showing that it can operate as an effective, professional body representing player views, CCP will give it respect and listen closer to submissions made calling for more information on X topic.

  • Goal: A much more professional, interactive and dedicated CSM working on behalf of all, with suitable tools to carry out its functions and communicate easily with players. Communication with players, and between CSM members, is the lynch pin that success hangs upon. Without it, everyone starts to do their own thing and work against each other. Meetings take an age, interaction with players drops and general feelings of discontentment start to rise. Eventually, it leads to feelings of frustration, disenchantment with the process, and ill will between members. Currently, mostly only players that read the Eve-o are reached in any fashion.

The development of Low sec space, and opportunities for players to choose a life of crime and darkness.Lets face it, Low sec space is pretty empty these days. Most players just hurry through it on their way someplace else. This is because its seen as dangerous, and there isn't much there to do that warrants the risks. I'd personally like to champion ideas and issues connected with the development of this under-utilised, but considerable, area of the Eve universe.

I also want to see characters with negative security benefit in some way! Shooting characters and generally leading a life of crime is a valid way to play Eve. It's not really catered for, unless you want to move to 0.0 space. Low sec space should be a proving ground to refine skills at combat etc before moving into 0.0. It should also be a fun place to reside. What if there were NPC pirate corps to join, which required a certain negative security status to join and remain in? What if there were deadspace stations where positive security status was a disadvantage, and could only be accessed safely by those lowlifes with neg sec? Many players will have good ideas on such matters, and I'd be taking a special interest in them!

I'm loving Jove space and the possibilities and opportunities it presents! I'm sure CCP have a few things up their sleeves for this area of the game which I personally can't wait for...

I have no other personal agenda. I have experience in many of the spheres of play, and would read issues and ideas carefully before deciding which way to vote. If I needed more information on a matter, I'd seek it (from those with the expertise or experience in that area). I'd vote through issues that would personally impact Xavier or my other characters in-game, if they were for the benefit for the majority or good for the longer term future of Eve. In-game politics and the like will be kept strictly in-game! In short, well thought through issues and ideas that will benefit the playing of Eve for many players will get my support.
